From the highlands of Cajamarca, this decaffeinated coffee delivers all the richness of Peruvian terroir—without the caffeine. Grown at elevations of 1,600 to 1,900 meters and produced by smallholder farmers, this lot features a vibrant mix of Catimor, Caturra, Bourbon, and Typica varieties.

The Washed & EA Decaf Process:

Using ethyl acetate—a naturally occurring compound found in fruits like bananas—this coffee is gently decaffeinated through a sugarcane-based method. After steaming to open the coffee’s pores, the beans are soaked in a water and E.A. solution that binds to and removes caffeine over the course of several hours. Once caffeine-free, the beans are re-steamed to remove any trace of E.A., leaving behind a clean and flavorful profile.
